Ok, I know not many people read this LJ (and I don't blame you as it's fairly new and I dont' post much anyway) but I want to jump on the bandwagon and take requests too! It looks like fun. So name a pairing or series and I will try and write a short 100-500 word scribble for you. Pretty please?

Richard woke up groggy and in pain. The groggy he could understand. They’d been pub-crawling. The bruise at the back of his head was something else though. He ought to remember that at least.
Shayne was awake and looking out a very small round window. He must have still been drunk because the room still seemed to sway slightly.
“You’re finally awake!”
He squinched his eyes a few times to get them back in working order and tried to rid himself of the muzzy feeling. “Where are we?”
She sighed, “On a boat.”
Oh. So he wasn’t drunk and the room really WAS moving. That was good to know. Wait. “We’re on a BOAT!?”
She nodded slouched down against the wall…hull? “Why are we on a boat?”
“We’ve been shanghaied.”
The word was unfamiliar and exotic. “Shanghaied?”
“Shanghaied, press-ganged, kidnapped….”
Good Lord. “Where are we going?”
“Shanghai.”
“Oh, hence the name.” He nodded, that made sense. “Wait, you mean in CHINA!?”
Shayne sighed again. “I believe there’s just the one.”
He reeled and ended up sitting next to her against the hull…wall. He spread out his hands, “I can’t go to China. Mother’s planned a luncheon tomorrow. With the bishop!”
She propped up her chin on her hand and looked at him sideways. She wore the familiar smile that meant she couldn’t quite believe the things that he was saying, but she found it charming. Like a child that says something clever. “Well then, we’ll have to do something about it. To make sure you don’t miss your luncheon.”
“What do you suggest?”
“Well, we can’t be far from England yet. We could probably make it if we stole a rowboat. But it would be cutting it close and hardly in style. I say we save that for plan B.”
He frowned. “Plan A being?”
“You help me take over the ship. I’ll be Captain, and we’ll sail back to London with our crew.” She looked pleased with her idea.
“And just how do you plan on accomplishing this?”
She tsked at him and waggled her finger like he’d been a naughty boy. “Richard dear, you’ll just have to trust it to Luck.”
