Oh noes! Everyone knows what happens when you give a rabbid a cookie! ......Oh, wait, no, that was a mouse. Nevermind. (gratefully knaws on cookie)
Yeah, I know it'll all turn out. I just wish I didn't have to fire someone to make it happen. But you know, what ever happened to common sense? I mean sriously! >。<
I have no problems with fulfilling a little mouse's silly requests for treats as long as they are asking politely and not scurrying around my kitchen floor.
I think common sense is on vacation with good sense for the summer. My work flow has almost doubled with the documentation and meetings that I have had to go into due to my co-workers insanities. Perhaps there are support groups for coping with the loss? One may never know.
Some days you just deserve to put your feet up and nurse a bowl/plate of sugary happiness. *offers e-hug*
I bought a thing of white russians and a pint of Ben & Jerry's on the way home. I spent most of the night looking at Phoenix Wright Japanese fanart and making livejournal icons. It was a really nice night, and very de-stressful.
There should be a support group for this sort of thing, I think. I'm more than willing to listen to others bitch about their crazy co-workers, if I get to too. Honestly, I think manufacturing is really interesting, and I'd love to babble about production control and root cause analysis methods and such too, but everyone else would find it unspeakably boring I know. ^^;
A Raving Rabbid sounds like something Lewis Carroll would write a long poem about, complete with whimsical yet mildly disturbing illustration.
Sorry about the firing stuff. I know it's nothing near having to fire someone in person, but every time I have to tell someone their manuscript is rejected, I get all uncomfortable. It's worse when they call in afterwards. I hope you feel better soon!
I feel bad about letting people go...when they're doing a good job, but I just don't have enough work to keep them. That's miserable. But I actually don't feel so bad about firing someone, because it means that they've screwed up badly and frequently and I just want them the hell away from our parts, because they're making more work for everyone else.
