Oh the weather outside

So very cold. I almost miss the milder winters in Shimane, but I remember the lack of central heating. The air compresser at work froze this morning, which meant no air pressure for any of the machines, which meant no parts, which meant....absolutely nothing to do until it was fixed. So I spent the morning reading the manuals I'm supposed to. Then I felt my brain start to leak out my ears.

My mailbox is half fixed. I no longer have a hole where my mailbox should be. There is a proper door there. Just one small trick.....my key doesn't work on it. Mmmr. And I suspect that my new bank card may be locked in there.

All this and my dinner kind of sucked. Yet I am filled with happiness and contentment.

oh dear. all that work and it didn't turn out as expected? Not that I can brag. Last night's "cupboard soup" is missing something pretty bloody obvious and I'm still not sure what. I may try and add sauted onion to the leftovers... maybe bake some biscuts... use it as a sauce over something with a lot more flavor...

who'd have thought something with a nice curry kick could be so bland :-P

Yeah, the rice cooked waaay too long, and I don't think I added enough Roux, so it was pretty flavorless. Bleh. I took cup noodles in for lunch.
