First up, thanks to everyone for your congratulations. I'm pretty geeked, and kind of scared. But I think it'll be cool.

Second. Thanksgiving was great. I really missed this holiday when I was in Japan, more than Christmas to be honest. And it was even better this year because Twig came by for a visit! Last night we went up and had some really good Indian food. I'm sad that I've discovered this place just before I have to leave. Then today I inflicted about half of Odoru Daisousasen at her in an effort to distract her from Newsweek and newspapers in general. And she liked!! Spread the Aoshima luuuuv. Mom made a great feast and Twig and I played some Katamari Damacy. I think I'll finally be able to roll up 6 meters now.

Tomorrow I will do something I've never done and brave the morning shopping rush. I need half an apartment's worth of stuff, and I need it ASAP. Might as well get as good a deal as I can. TV, Mattress, some shelving, iron, ironing board.....blargh. Just shoot me now!
