Nov. 9th, 2004 09:24 pmI was a good girl today. Went out and got my oil changed, and picked up a fax of a translation project at Kinko's for one of the potential interviews. Then I went off to the first of this week's interviews. This one was at a consulting firm...the OMG!!!1!! one. It turned out surprisingly cool. I'm still a bit wary of it because it doesn't seem to have a website and all. But the office was very nice, and so were the people. All the people in the office at the time were young women who were all happy and confident and friendly. So that's more in their favor. I think I would like a job where I deal more with people and don't just stare at a computer all day. I don't know.
In other news, I got around to reading Georgette Heyer's "The Grand Sophy" a bit ago, and throughly enjoyed it. You guys were right. I had my doubts because I started with "The Black Moth" because of it's Kaito-ish leanings. Except that everyone in that book is an idiot. The only character I really like is Lavinia who is perfectly aware that she's a flighty self-centered airhead...and it works for her. Anyway. Sophy was a great book. Very funny.
flidgetjerome reccomends The Foundling for my next foyer into Heyer. But I can't find that one at either of the bookstores over here. Any alternate suggestions?
