Random Randomness

So twigcollins, m_steelgrave, we were talking earlier about a 'Deep Thoughts About Writing' week. What do you guys say to the week of the 24th? Anyone else want to join in?

I am up near Grand Rapids so I can got to a meeting tomorrow. It's funny, 5 people from my department alone ended up in Michgan today for various reasons. Too bad none of us could carpool. I could have gotten a lot of knitting done. But I DID finish listening to 'The Disappearing Spoon' which is an awesome pop-science book. I highly reccomend it. And then I started in on 'Kitchen Confidential.' Kitchen Confidential is awesome, they even had Anthony Bourdain narrate it himself. He's not the best narrator in the world, but as soon as he forgets he's reading a script he's awesome.

I stopped at a steak place for dinner (hey, it's the company's dime) and no less than 6 people had their birthday, complete with song and tambourine. twigcollins, it made me think of you.
