They Fired Tim!!!
CAN YOU BELIEVE IT!?!?!!? I'm shocked an amazed. (Tim, for those of you not following my work drama was my slacker boss.) The only real downside of this is that I've basically gotten all his unfinished workload. My morning was basically spent sending e-mail to people asking for extensions on projects because I'd only just HEARD of them this morning.

Yesterday I was back up in Michigan to go to a supplier training meeting. The meeting was good. Except for all the drama. See, I was staying with my mom, so I didn't have to stay in a hotel. Except that Mom forgot that she had to share the driveway. So yesterday morning she backed up right into my car! The drivers side mirror got snapped off, but that was basically the worst of the damage. They were able to fix it that day at the Saturn Dealership, so it was all good.

When I got back today I found out that Tim was fired, that I got his workload, and that we had a bunch of new problems that happened when I was gone. Ogwawa said, "I think we need to find a new QC Manager, or maybe you will become a flat tire." (That I'd get 'panku' and deflate) But honestly, with Tim gone, maybe we can get someone actually good in his position and that would help so much. So we'll see.

I used to think that the pinnacle of cellophane technology was the onigiri wrapper. If any of you have had a wrapped onigiri, you understand what I'm talking about. The effortless way it keeps your seaweed crispy and the way it's designed to actually re-wrap itself as you unwrap it. Genius I tell you.

But I've found something that may rival even this.

Individually wrapped potatoes. No wait! Listen. You stick your individually wrapped potato into the microwave for 7 minutes....INSTANT POTATO. And!! it gets better! They do Sweet Potatos too! Seven minutes to Sweet potato perfection. When I try to bake sweet potatoes vs. putting them in with rice in the rice cooker, they never turn out right, always too tough. But with the special microwave safe wrapping they come out beautifully.

It's totally tater-tastic. Check your local grocery stores.
