I used to think that the pinnacle of cellophane technology was the onigiri wrapper. If any of you have had a wrapped onigiri, you understand what I'm talking about. The effortless way it keeps your seaweed crispy and the way it's designed to actually re-wrap itself as you unwrap it. Genius I tell you.
But I've found something that may rival even this.
Individually wrapped potatoes. No wait! Listen. You stick your individually wrapped potato into the microwave for 7 minutes....INSTANT POTATO. And!! it gets better! They do Sweet Potatos too! Seven minutes to Sweet potato perfection. When I try to bake sweet potatoes vs. putting them in with rice in the rice cooker, they never turn out right, always too tough. But with the special microwave safe wrapping they come out beautifully.
It's totally tater-tastic. Check your local grocery stores.
