Happy Anniversary
Aug. 24th, 2005 07:49 amSo to celebrate the first month of new car ownership I locked my keys in my car! I put my laundry in to dry at the apartment laundromat and decided that I really needed pasta even if I was too tired to make it. So I drove out to Olive Garden and locked my keys in my car! Of course this is the VERY day I got a special key in the mail that will unlock your car, but not start it (in case you, say, lock your keys in there).
Luckily since it's a brand spankin' new Saturn, I could just call Roadside assistance and they sent two guys over, 25-20 min and I had my keys again! It was funny because right as they were about to leave my cell phone rang and it was the GM Roadside assistance robot letting me know that to get an estimated time of assistance arrival I could press one, now! So, it wasn't much of an adventure, but in this case, that's just fine with me.
In other news my Dad's started his new job and is on the road a lot. It sounds like he's really happy with what he's doing, so I'm happy for him. But in order to stop watching Law & Order re-runs on the hotel TV he's decided to start writing too. Since I've been having a lot of trouble trying to get myself writing again he and I have started a challenge. Every Sunday we have to e-mail each other with our progress. And in true slacker fashion I haven't written a thing since. But! I did go to the grocery store and buy new pens and some sticky-note flags to mark my research.
Now if only I could find a Japanese style notebook. I love their tiny tiny lines.
