Fun weekend

Oh why did it have to turn Monday? I had SUCH a good weekend. mewsgryphoncat and mewsrissicat came to visit, and I inflicted as much media on them as humanly possible, including but not limited to... Odoru Daisousasen, Kare Kano, Ancient Discoveries, QI, and Gabriel Iglesias's stand up. We made seafood doria (which turned out fabulously well) and went out to see Star Trek. (SQUEE!) Gryphoncat made some lovely coasters and origami cranes...

I was so sorry to see them go. Now I just need to lure soranokumo and ouri to my lair and I will have hosted a complete set.

It really was such an awesome time - and we already knew that you are a wonderful guest, but you also proved yourself to be an amazing host.

We both felt completely relaxed and at home with you (as evidenced by my shameless theft of your kitchen), you make a terrific pot of morning coffee, and Nan and you are SCARILY alike. XD

I don't know about the whole 'amazing host' thing. But hey, if you want to come over and take over my kitchen, you are welcome to anytime. You can't beat guests who fawn over your cat and watch every silly piece of entertainment you tell them to without complaint.

And I agree, I think Nan and I need to have DNA testing done. Though I guess it goes to prove that whole 'birds of a feather' thing.
