Run for the border

On Sunday my mom helped me hang all my pictures of Japan & China. And we made space for another row, so I can hang pictures of London, and any other cool places I go. Mom really loved the wall of pictures and wanted more. "Let's go get more frames!" and I told her that I needed to go visit somewhere new to have some place to put it in.

You totally have to be careful what you wish for.

So I'm going on a business trip to Mexico tomorrow to help translate a meeting. I'm kind of half excited, after all, I've never been to Mexico. But of course this isn't sandy beaches or Mayan temples. This is a sewing facility in Juarez. And I'm sure we'll be doing a surgical strike in and out without being able to see or do anything. But still...going somewhere is always interesting.

Anyway, I bring you links to make up for the babble.

I saw this story about gay characters on a soap opera pop up on cnn, and was really surprised that I didn't see it mentioned on Smart Bitches or any other blogs. I can't be sure, but from the tone of the article it sounds like they get more angry mail for the lack of gay than they did when they had the gay.

And, I don't mean to talk about anything political, since I can't make up my mind on any candidate anyway. But I thought that this was pretty cute. Barak Obama thanks the town of Obama, Japan for it's support.

Ok, that article about Obama, Japan is adorkable. I want an Obama sweet bean bun!

Lunar did one of those Mexico things. She said it was not so great but she also lost her passport then so that probably had something to do with it. : P

Thanks again for the help. I ran up five flights to put it on the door, realized I hit the wrong side of the buidling, had to run up five flights and grab it, then run five flights up the other side.

Mornings are my nemesis.
