Srsly. I was trying to write some Phoenix Wright fanfic before book 7 came out. And now all I can do is read tons of fanfic (It's been years before I read HP fic, so there's plenty of new out there), draw silly fanart (celtic knotwork snitches...thank you Irish Fest), and try to shoo away the HP Mary Sue that lives in my head (but seriously, the school she went to is awesome).
Now even work is conspiring against me.
I was minding my own buisness trying to translate a chemical data report, and trying to find out what "王水" is. Which led me to the Japanese wikipedia site, which of course, led me to the english and an interesting article about Aqua Regia, which is the coolest name for a corrosive acid ever. And it turns out that it was very popular with alchemists trying to make the Philosophers Stone.
Stop following me Harry Potter! I mean it!!
P.S. Read the history bit about how George de Hevesy foiled the Nazis with this stuff. Badass. Totally badass.

Date: 2007-08-14 03:00 pm (UTC)Wikipedia is a dangerous place. It spawns plotbunnies like nobody's business. I was reading their article of the day on Nikola Tesla once and found myself working out all the details of his life that proved he was a wizard, and how he fit into canon. We Potterphiles are hopeless! *sigh*
