Keeping Abreast of the Situation

kaitouSo how was your weekend? Mine was very good. On Saturday we had a goodbye party for Ogawa, since he's going back to Japan in two weeks. It was a potluck thing, so I made coffee gelatin ahead of time, and then Chris came over to my apartment and we made taiyaki, which are these Japanese stuffed waffles shaped like fish. I bought a Pokemon taiyaki mold when I did my study abroad back in college (Magicarp, dontcha know). And since I was fresh out of red beans, we filled them with chocolate and lemon curd and two kinds of jam.
One of the women at the party used to have my job, and she was a real character. She spent half the night grilling Chris on his history of being gay, and the other half of the night talking about how she wanted to get a boob job. She had money set aside for it and everything. Later in the evening the conversation switched to one of the Japanese guys spending all his bonus money on strippers.
Me: So, basically you both have a fund for breasts.
Her: LOL! Yeah! Hey...why don't you just give your money to me?
