Heartless & Nobodies....why did I think this would be happy?

I have a new 'Party' dish!  From now on when I need to do a pot-luck sort of thing, I'm bringing coffee gelatin.  My company's Vice President is leaving, and yesterday we had a goodbye lunch for him.  I was going to make Mango Bars, but I was afraid they'd be too sweet and switched to coffee gelatin.  I was surprised it was such a big hit!  And SOO easy to make.  Good stuff.

I went out and bought Kingdom Hearts II, and I'm so happy. It actually reminds me a lot of FFIX....lot's of sad (in this section) enacted by very cute people. It's all very touching, and has lots of FFX themes. And FFX is my favorite FF so far. There's oodles of MyFrienshipIsSoPureIt'sAlmostTolkeinian, from both friends AND enemies. I can't even imagine the amount of fic & doujinshi that will surround Roxas/Hayner and Roxas/Axel. And then Sora! on the Train! Kyaa! *falls over and dies*

I was surprised to see Seifer, Fuu and Rai (short for Raijin I assume) to show up as a rival gang of punks/allies of our young hero. It was fun, despite Seifer's appaling clothes. It made me think of a bit I saw on Comedy Central where a guy was saying that he saw a guy in a leather coat and thought ,"that's cool." Then he saw a guy in a leather vest and thought, "that's not cool." So he decided that cool is all in having Leather Sleeves. And I have to agree....grown-up Seifer in his gray coat is cool. Teen Seifer with a sleeveless gray vest that goes to his calf......NOT COOL. And lord, what's with the knit cap?

I probably put 4 hours into the game just last night, and I can't wait to go home and play more! Big Love. (Must not buy KH over again in English, and the GBA game. Must not!)

If you see Axel do anything awesome, please tell me. I'll be cosplaying him in a KH2 group at the end of the year :D

Axel just IS cool. He's like in all of 5 min total of the game, but there's so much characterization packed into him. There's just something about the way that he holds and twirls his giant flame wheel thingies that's just.....awesome.

Well, they're not ALWAYS on fire. But he can light them on fire during his fights.

I really hope they remember to give him a happy ending by the end of the game. *hugs Axel*
