It's that time of year again
Oct. 2nd, 2004 10:04 amI was talking to
stormgren on AIM the other day and he reminded me that it's almost time for Nanowrimo again. Ack! It really snuck up on me. I really enjoyed last years more than I probably had any right to, even though I think I gained 15 pounds because I didn't take the time out to cook. And I am sad that Cael and co. have kind of languished since. I'm a bad, bad Ann.
Anyway, I'm starting to gear up for this year's Nano, running through possible plots. The fore-runner this year is a retelling of The 12 Dancing Princesses as a Regency Romance. I think I could make it all work. Make the good soldier someone returning from the Napoleonic Wars, all that. But I'm iffy, because it's been a long time since I studied European History, and the characters keep getting too serious in my head.
Hero: I'm going to explore class issues.
Me: No! No you're not! Fluffy. Fluffy!
So, maybe not. Maybe something else. Any ideas? Anyone else gonna do Nano?

Date: 2004-10-04 02:59 pm (UTC)I'm doing a retelling of Norse Myth with a bit of a Lokean twist. Should be fun, as well as mindwarping.
