Jiggity Jig
Sep. 20th, 2004 09:59 pmHome again home again. Internet has been a little spotty, hence the lack of updates. I swear, every time it starts to look like it's going smoothly, the internet just dies.
The trip to Boston was a great success. The interview I actually flew out for, was pretty "eh." They were like "It's a job. You want it?" The one I set up with Raytheon in contrast, was fantastic. I spent a half hour with 6 different people, not including the Japanese customer I'd be working with, and even lunch! If I could land this job it would be all kinds of fantastic.
And of course, seeing Luny was fantastic. She's all kinds of cool. And we watched all of "Gokusen" which makes it onto my top 10 of best anime evar. All the teacher jokes are so true in it. I can only speculate on the yakuza half of it.
In other news I'm getting dragged into the hobby of Rubber Stamping. Mom got me in on her card exchange. We made cards for fall. Some people made Halloween cards, and some just general Fall cards. I made a teacher card, to give to a teacher to say thanks. I found a great quote, "The art of teaching is not lost, but the appreciation for it is." Next comes winter cards. I bought a little martini stamp, so I'll probably make some New Years cards.
