Random Randomness
Apr. 2nd, 2004 08:58 amNone of these things have anything to do with the other.
It's two days and counting until my parents arrive in Japan. I'm doing pretty good on the Home front. Just the kitchen left to go. Moriwaki-sensei was kind enough to lend me a King size futon and blankets for my parents and dropped it off this morning before work.
The science teacher next door has moved away. I thought one of the new teachers might be moving in, but I was wrong. They're going to turn it into a daycare. Only on the weekends, I'm assured, which is, of course, the only time I'm home. Time to start locking my doors while I'm home and give up on sleeping in. Ah well, it will at least ensure that I'm awake in time for Sailor Moon.
In the service of fangirls everywhere I bought the FullMetal Alchemist GBA game. It's adorable and fun. Al keeps the kitty fetish that he has in the omake. When you run into a cat in the first town he begs and begs until Ed lets him keep it. Which he does...inside his armor. You can even use it as a special attack! It does all of 9 points of damage, but I'm thinking there will be more cats as the story progresses and maybe it'll end up being like Rinoa and her dog and actually being the best attack in the game. Using Alchemy in the game is fun and not as difficult as I was afraid of, though I'm not really using it very scientifically yet.
They came out with Chocolate Orange Pocky. There is a God.
The TV show Monk also came out to Japan this month. Very much fun. I caught most of the pilot. I think my favorite part was where he was being chased by a car, but he still had to touch all of the posts as he ran away.

Date: 2004-04-02 08:51 am (UTC)and daycare? eeeh. I agree about the getting up in time for cartoons thing, but still. I had an apartment in college across the street from a day care and that was no fun
