State of the Union
Apr. 20th, 2010 09:12 pmSo, I leave for Japan first thing Thursday morning, so if there is something I must get for you, it's last call! (I will do my best, but I don't know how much geek shopping I will actually get to do. I'll actually be working the weekdays I'm there, and my Japanese coworker has told his sister to show me the town on Saturday and maybe Sunday) But I am sure I can pick up things like candy, cds and manga. So let me know!
In other news, I like the new Doctor Who. Matt Smith is basically pretending to be Tennant, but I can live with that. There seems to be plenty of good humor and action. Amy pond locking the Doctor's tie in someone's car was very clever.
I really loved 'How to Train Your Dragon.' The animators did a great job with eyes and facial expressions. And you know I love a smart, engineering hero.
Dad ended up in the hospital yesterday, but it wasn't a big deal. He's been diagnosed with "benign paroxysmal positional vertigo" which basically means that he'll get vertigo and there's not much to do about it. But it's not debilitating and doesn't last long. I think the fuss from the family made him more nauseous than the vertigo.
OMG I'M GOING TO JAPAN~!
