Apricots Ideas and other Ans
Apr. 20th, 2005 09:51 amWhen I was last up home to see my parents I bought a doormat at the World Market. It's pretty cool, and has a big kanji smack in the middle, 安, which is one of those biggie ones you see plastered everywhere since it means peace (among other things). I've had it for a few weeks now, and only yesterday coming home did I realize that it's pronounced 'An' same as my name. So it's kind of like having my name at the door in secret code (and of course, my mailbox still says 'Battle'). Of course if I were going to choose a kanji for my name that sounds like 'An' I'd go with either 案 (idea) or 杏 (apricot).
