The pink shirt is a red shirt
Feb. 24th, 2005 10:03 amI have a pink shirt I like very much, despite it's being pink. (Twig, Veep, you've seen it) This shirt, for some reason is just a dirt magnet. I can stay pretty clean out in the plant most of the time, but I am sure to get grease or oil on the pink shirt. So now I've got my official polo shirts I have to wear as my uniform, but since it's still February everyone wears long sleeved shirts underneath. I figured my pink shirt was safe.
So yesterday I was gluing some tags onto some part gages. It was a new tube of some kind of super glue, so I was trying to be careful with it. I squeezed gently and nothing happened. I figured the glue must be some kind of gel and would take a little more pressure to come out, so I squeezed a little harder...only this time the glue shot out all over my hand and arm. I washed my hands quickly so I didn't glue myself to myself (or anything else for that matter) but my shirt got ruined. Oddly the official Polo was completely un-gluified. Just the sleeve of the pink one had glue spatter.
The curse of the pink shirt.
