And the time ticks down

September! Which means that there's only 61 days left until Nanowrimo! Anyone else planning to compete this year? Wanna a buddy/antagonist? Truth be told, I'm feeling pretty un-creative. Not that I don't love the ideas I've been percolating on, but I've just been feeling very unwriterly lately. But I love Nanowrimo, so hopefully this will help kick me back in gear again. So it's time for my yearly post where I ask for your opinions and brainstorming.
1. Instead of writing a new story, revamp & expand the middle and climactic scene of 'Milk' (which still has no title) my Nano of last year, a 1920's romantic comedy. I think this is the best story I've ever written as far as having a solid plot (which still leaves plenty of holes, naturally) and I'm afraid if I jump to something else I won't jump back to it, which would be sad. But that would also be sort-of-cheating, and I really am a stickler for Nano-rules. Once I start letting myself 'cheat' it's hard to stop.
2. New story in Milk!Verse. This one would focus on Dahlia, the Bright Young Thing/Wild Child roommate of last year's heroine. And would be my 'Bad Girl & the Geek' story that's been flitting around in my head for the past year or so.
3. Bronze Punk. Like Steampunk, but in the Bronze Age plus lots of Greco-Roman Mythology goodness. Giant Wooden Horse Mecha, pump action flame throwers...Why isn't this a genre already? Original plot idea involved relighting a sacred eternal fire at a main temple, with a bit of fire that was sent to another temple. Probably YA-ish.
4. Coffeehouse Historical. 18th Century Enlightenment, coffeehouse where all the proto-scientists hang out and debate. Scientists, hack writers, women sneaking in in mens clothes... Probably more like a series of interlinked short stories with an overarching plot.
What do you think? Yes, no, maybe so? Something completely different? I'm thinking about maybe doing drabbles in the different verses as warm-up/brain storming exercises. If there's anything you'd particularly like to see, let me know.
