Well I've got my latest knitting project done. It's a shawl in the 'Chicks With Sticks Guide to Knitting' book.

I don't really need the shawl, but every project in the book teaches a few new techniques. This one taught me how to pick up stitches, so that I can add knitting to an otherwise finished shape, and a new kind of increase.

I also knitted it using a different style of knitting, continental. It didn't turn out as smooth as it would have if I'd knitted it english style, but I think a little more practice and I'll really have this down.

Love the yarn, so pretty.

LOL. The light and airy one is surprisingly warm. That was the one that taught me how to do increases.

I've hit a snag with the daleks though. I can't remember how to do the bobbles! Even though I figured out how to do them last time!! Maybe tonight will work out better. I was feeling extra ditzy yesterday.

Thanks! I've been experimenting with ways to try and get a decent photo. EXTREME angle is looking like a good bet. The cranes were all made by Gryphoncat while we watched J-TV.

So while hosting a Gryphoncat, if you, just, casually leave paper lying around she'll absently fold it into cranes? ;P

LOL. Actually she brought all of that herself. However I may have given her access to cardboard, ribbon, glue and sparkles.
