I have a doctor's appointment today. I've been here a year now, it's about time I found a doctor I suppose. It took me awhile to find one. The one the nurse at my company suggested is on maternity leave, the second one I tried had moved her practice, the third and fourth were booked for about 3 weeks out. But finally, I got an appointment.

I hope he's a good doctor, I don't have a very good track record with doctors. I asked one about a cough (or as twigcollins calls it 'The Plague') which I've had since high school. He said to take Robitussin. I went to another because I'd been dizzy and disoriented all day and his diagnosis was that I must have stood up too fast. I also asked him to do a blood test for anemia. He thought it was unnecessary, but did it anyway. The next day he called back and put me on 3 iron pills + a multivitamin with iron a day.

So here's hoping this one will actually listen to me.

good luck! I wince to confess that it's 5 years and I still don't have a GP. I am incredibly apathetic about my health I fear. :-P luckily there are several good walk-in clincs in my area that take my insurance
