Thank you everyone for the birthday wishes! And an extra special shout out to

vp_renard! I think I lucked out having such a cool person to share my birthday with. This has been one of the best birthdays in a long time. I feel very lucky and very loved.

At work I scored with a greeting card with a half naked man, a scented candle (I'm getting a lot of these lately, I'm starting to think I need to invest in a lighter or matches or something) and a live stalk of bamboo. Then there was a mini-party at lunch with pizza and strawberry pie and pineapple upside down cake. I took the rest of the day off to go get my Ohio drivers licence (It's an ugly licence so it's only fitting that I look like a sarcastic smartmouth in the picture). Then I went out to my bookclub where we talked comedy books and the water brought chocolate cake and sang the birthday song.

Waiter: Happy Birtdaaay dear.....uh.....
Everyone: Ann!
Waiter: dear Aaaaaan.
Me: If you set chocolate cake in front of me you can call me whatever you like.
