kaitouI missed the presence of a fellow weirdo this morning. I was in good form, but all my punchlines were falling flat.
Mom: We need to pick up a Sunday paper.
Me: Why?
Mom: If we don't have a TV Guide, I'll be Lost!
Me: Only at 8:00 on Wednesday.
Mom: ...
On passing the soon to be Hummer car lot.
Mom: Who builds Hummer anyway?
Dad: GM.
Me: Zeuss.
Mom: What?
Me: King of the Gods. You know, 'bijyouuu.' Every time lightning strikes the earth, a Hummer is created.
And then when we finally got to the Bed, Bath and Beyond so I could redeem my gift certificate I found myself facinated by all the little trays for the toaster ovens.
Me: Look! It's a mini casserole pan! And a muffin pan that only makes six!
Dad: Neat.
Me: Yeah, I have to keep reminding myself that this is not an E-Z Bake oven.
That is what I ended up buying though. Small batch cooking will soon be mine! That and toast. And it broils,which is nice, since my oven doesn't have a broiler, just a broil setting, and that's not at all the same thing.
