So close, and yet so
Sep. 23rd, 2004 05:55 pmA few of my boxes finally came in last night. So now I have my electric takoyaki maker, my colored pencils, my random s-ai baker manga that is NOT Cafe Kichouji (sp?), and most importantly, my backup CD's! Everyone all together...Yaaaaay!
So the old Vaio, is mostly up and running. I still haven't gotten the internet to work on it, Dad's got a wireless DSL setup that's so fussy it's almost not worth it for the pleasure of surfing from the living room. But it's nice to have all these things I haven't seen since files since the computer broke in January. Pictures, mp3's, stories I haven't been able to work on...*coff*Pomp & Circumstantial Evidence*coff*
Twig the Magnificent is coming to visit this weekend, and I'm all excited. I'm dragging her off to go see Shaun of the Dead. It'll be so good to get out and talk to people. I hate being trapped in the house without a car. I'm left making puns that are even lamer than usual. Case in point. Dad's check didn't come yesterday like it should have, but today.
Me: You should check it, make sure it isn't a dollar short.
Dad: ?
Me: Well, it is a day late.
Ba dum bum ching!
Thank you, thank you, I'll be here all night.
