Kansas City Here I Come

Not that I post in my journal all that regularly, but I thought I'd send up a note that I'm going to be off the grid until next Tuesday. I'm heading to Kansas City to visit my extended family at the ungodly hour of 3 am. The idea was to arrive early enough to have time to do some visiting, but instead I will probably fall asleep in the back of the car as I am shuffled around.

My aunt helps organize the Kansas City Irish Fest, and ropes the whole family into being volunteers. It's amazingly huge and tons of fun. So I'll be working there for Labor Day weekend, and spending the rest visiting different family members and hanging out. I'm not even bringing my laptop, can you believe it? I'm going to go into withdrawal, I know it!
