May. 3rd, 2009 08:39 pmI love Netflix. Again with the movies I'd never have the chance to see at 'Family Video.' This weekend I watched 'The Lavender Hill Mob' a cute movie starring Sir Alec Guinness from 1951 about a seemingly mild mannered pair of British guys that conspire to steal a shipment of gold bullion from a bank. Why are they remaking 'Drop Dead Fred' instead of actually good movies that no one will watch because they're black and white? They all
The other one was 'Hi Dharma'....kind of a Korean 'Sister Act' only instead of the Gangster's Moll on the run it's the underlings. After a fight goes wrong, 5 gangsters end up hiding out in a Buddhist Monestary until the 'Big Boss' lets them know what to do. The abbot lets them stay, but the monks want nothing to do with the rowdy, disrespectful gangsters, and try to run them off. And of course it's all very fluffy and heartwarming.
