Llama Llama Duck!
Jul. 4th, 2005 09:02 pmGood weekend, wish it weren't over. On Sunday I went to a little town called Yellow Springs, which is like a Mayberry sized Last Holdout of the Southwestern Ohio Hippies. Seriously. It's like two streets big and full of boutique-y fun. Pottery shops, blown glass, organic food, organic clothing, aromatherapy.... So yeah, lots of fun. I bought a neat covered dish thing that looks like a cross between a fish and a pig at a store called La Llama Place. Is there a better store name than La Llama place? No. There isn't.
I also went to Dark Star comics and used books. And it was...dark. For a minute I thought it was truth in advertising, but it turned out they had a blackout on that side of the street. The staff passed around tiny keychain flashlights to the customers so we could keep browsing. It kind of added a special something to the book-hunt experience.
Tomorrow I refuse to work later than 5:30 because I am jonesing for a quality sandwich and I have a free one coming to me thanks to my Honeybaked Ham stamp card. Oh yeah. And I may drive all the way to the only bagel place in town (which still requires driving down 3 seperate highways) and loading up on hazelnut creamcheese.
