For the most part today went very well. Yes I went into work to try and catch up a little since I spent all Friday doing translations, but it wasn't that bad. Then I decided to explore a little bit. I found the one and only butcher's shop in the northwest dayton area, buried out in a cornfield. Then I found the local Y, which is really slick. I'm 87% sure I'm going to join up. Some of the drop in classes sound like a fun way to exercise and their facilities are really nice. There is a special little machine to wring out your bathing suit after you shower. Tres cool.

So after deciding that I thought...gee, if I'm going to start exercising there's things i need. Like....tennis shoes. I stopped at home to drop off my frozen chicken noodle casserole I bought at the meat shop, grabbed my Avenue credit card, ran back to the car....and.....
MY CAR IS DEAD. *wails*

It totally doesn't start at all. I thought maybe it was the battery, so I got online and looked up hints, determined not to go crying to my parents for advice. I used a brillo pad to scrub off all the icky debis on it. No go. It's not the battery, something else is shot. Of course I discover this at 4 on a Saturday, so I can't get it into the shop. So yeah, I gave up and wailed to parents for advice.

Their advice leans toward 'Buy a New Car.' See, this whole car thing is already a mess. It overheats easily and the air conditioning doesn't work. Even if this problem is easy to fix, that one will not be, and the car really isn't worth putting too much money into. I'm not sure the car would survive another trip up to Michigan and back without overheating. The funny thing is that with the GM sale, I could get the same car my dad just got in December for 12K. Or a Scion for about 16K. (Mock the Scion xB if you will, it's excellently roomy and has a great view) Or maybe I should just fix the Neon.

So, some good things today, one really really sucky thing. Everyone cross your fingers and hope I get a juicy raise on my review this month. Looks like I may need it.
