Good News for People Who Love Bad News

For those of you who haven't met me in person. I look like a hobbit. Short, chubby, curly-ish hair and wholesome looking. This invariably leads people to think I'm incapable of swearing. Big scary men apologize for saying the word 'shit' in my presence. If only they could have seen me this morning when I woke up late for work!

I went from 0 to work in 25 minutes. Not bad considering I even took a shower and dried my hair. I felt horribly guilty, but I don't think anyone cared that much. Mostly they were just taking bets on whether I ran away with a magician, or stayed up all night watching a Lord of the Rings marathon. I just ended up staying late to make up for it. I hope it's not too bad a mark against me. But I really doubt it at this place. At one of the morning meetings the plant manager was yelling at people for not showing for work. And...he hasn't been back since.

Anyway. Spent all day checking parts and re-packing them with guys who were ready to tell me their life stories at the drop of a hat. All interesting stories. Every last one of them including prison. twigcollins I think this would be a good experience for your work book. I'm not sure how exactly, but it should.

I ache all over. Very hobbly tonight. And yet am extremely cheerful. It must be the peach cobbler.
