Thanks to everyone for their congratulations. The more research I'm doing, the less I'm dreading the move. Yes, it's in the back end of nowhere, but it looks like it's a nice/cute back end and not the omg!redneck back end. (srsly. Once we went to visit a customer, and the election notices in the town were laminated 8 1/2 x 11 sheets of paper stuck to a post)

But places like this, a library that has a gourmet coffee & tea events, and a town that's in the guinness book for the world's largest pumpin pie, could actually be a really nice place to live. (I do love pumpkin pie)

Saint Marys, Celine and New Bremen all look like cute little towns and not, like bad little towns. And according to wikipedia the per capita is pretty high in each, and the poverty pretty low.  Not like a lot of the places I've driven through on my way to visit a customer or supplier.  So I'm feeling more hopeful.  A lot more hopeful.

Late congrats? :) Hopefully you'll like the surrounding towns.

Eep, I missed out on the first change to give congrats because of meatworld interference, so...

Omedetou! And good luck with the move - I'm glad that you're feeling better about it.

*HUGS and now... pumpkin pie!*

I've heard that about all three towns. I know my friend has family that lives in St. Marys and they love it. A library with gourmet coffee events? I'm so there.
