I admit that Book 5 disappointed me. And I went into book 6 a little reluctantly. But it won me over all over again. And book 7 was just the same. Almost everything I hoped for came true (go Neville!), and most things I was terrified of didn't. Extremely satisfying.
I'm mostly of a mind with Flidget that I don't like Tonks because she frequently abandons everything for Remus. The way Flidget puts it, Remus fights at the end for his son. Tonks fights at the end because she's worried about Remus. You've got a kid lady! And now he's an orphan! Well done there.
Other than that she's just so...Mary Sue. And if it weren't for fanfiction, it probably wouldn't be a big deal. But there is fanfiction, so we're so OVER that dynamic.

I was only disappointed that no one dropped a piano on Umbridge.

Oh man, I love the long-term plotting in this series.
