Going to be an interesting day

kaitou(about half of the plant called in on account of snow...so many that we can't run as usual. Everyone was gathered together for a meeting with my boss to figure out what to do.)
Boss: *Ask them if anyone wants to go home. They can go home if they want to.*
Me: *Everyone will leave, you know.*
Boss: *Then ask for volunteers who want to stay, since they came all the way here, and we'll see what we can run.*
Me: *So you want me to ask for idiots? No one's going to stay.*
Boss: *Just ask them.*
Me: Ok everyone, who wants to go home??
(every last person in the plant raises their hands)
Boss: EVERYONE!?
Me: *told you!*
Later...
Me: *Hey, so can we go home too?*
Boss: *No, you're salary. You have to stay.*
Boss: *Ask them if anyone wants to go home. They can go home if they want to.*
Me: *Everyone will leave, you know.*
