It was a very good if tiring weekend.  I got to see exgentlemen and Joe before they take off for Oregon.  It looks like they're heading for the land of milk & honey as far as liberal hippie-yuppie-ism goes.  I was about ready to stab Joe in the eyes for all the times he mentioned how he had a hard time finding a normal movie theatre, they were all art house places.   Instead I gave him the original Shaft soundtrack record from my Mom.  He was very gleeful.  It was really good to hang out with them again, as it always is.  I hope they're very very happy out in Oregon, and I hope Joe sends me the Corvallis want-ads so I can follow someday. 

An unexpectedly good part of the weekend was quality cuddle time with their cats, and Joe's parent's new kittens.  If I could have smuggled them away and not been killed by Joe's mom, I totally would have done it.  I now need a kitten badly.  Oh so very badly.  My next apartment will be pet friendly.

He was following her around like an attention starved spaniel... wanting 'toy' or 'food' or 'pet me' or whatever else his kitty-brain
could concoct to torture her with. I threatened to put him in his
kitty-kennel if he didn't knock it off... luckily for him I realized that said kennel was wedged into the back of my closet :-D
