Not so bad.
Jul. 29th, 2010 08:13 pmI got my car back from the shop. They managed to beat the wheel rim back into shape (yay, no leaky tire!). And they found that I was right about the noise being some broken plastic in the fan. They won't be able to get a replacement in until next week, but it shouldn't be any trouble to drive until then, it will just make noise. So I will be able to go up and check out Maker Faire after all.
The whole thing is going to cost me a little under $500 by the time it's done, which sucks. But I got paid mileage to go to Canada for work, which came to about $500 so with any luck I'll just brake even, er break even.
Mostly I feel vindicated that my root cause analysis was right. QC Dept REPRESENT!
