Will you do the fandango?
May. 6th, 2008 09:16 pmWhen I was writing In for a Penny during Nanowrimo, I knew I was deliberately pastiching (is that a verb?) Prisoner of Zenda, and pretty much anything from Shakespeare.
I hadn't realized that I was plundring broadly from 'Scaramouche.' I'd only seen the movie once, and that was in high school. I don't even remember particularly liking the story other than the excellent fencing. But I got the urge to watch it again and it's my first disc from Netflix. And there it all is, feisty!actress, revolutionaries, a traveling band of actors harboring a hero.
Weird and a little disturbing.
