Objection!
Jun. 20th, 2007 12:54 pmOn Saturday I finished the first Phoenix Wright game. Luckily I had the foresight to have already bought game two so I was all set to jump back in the game. And last night I just finished case one (the get-your-feet-wet-tutorial level) of the second game.
The games are really re-releases of the old Japanese GBA games. And on the first game they threw in a new case as a lure to get people to buy it over again. And that one had a lot of DS specific touches that were really awesome. (The fingerprinting technique continues to boggle my mind and made my parents both go O_O) I had a blast with that case, and it's a little disappointing to go back to GBA level stuff in the second game. However, I have to say that the way they handled the tutorial level in the second game was really clever. It managed to avoid that problem in most sequel games where you want to say, "Wait a minute, why do I only have 12 hitpoints? And what happened to my Uber-Sword?" (Not that you get an uber-sword in the first game, since you play a lawyer after all.)
My problem is that this game easily triggered all my fangirl buttons, but after a brief swim through the livejournal comms, the pit of voles and other spots on the internet I have discovered that this fandom is far from Exécutif if you know what I mean. Anyone know any places for swanky fangirling for this series? My inner fangirl needs STUFF.
In other, non video game related news, uh....actually I have none. I am very boring. I will try and get to the last two days of London goodness, but I need to get at Photoshop or an oekaki or something to illustrate a point. And once I'm home from work I tend to just play more PW. ^^;;
