Addendum to Clay Pigeon Shooting

You'd think I'd have remembered to mention this when I was going into Mom's awesome marksmanship, but I totally forgot to tell you all that I mentioned the whole 'practicing on the wii / coming down from Michigan' thing to a local reporter. I thought 'The story is too good!'

I was so right.

So here's mom and me in the Wapakoneta Daily News. We're the second story down. We even made the front page. Unfortunately the online version is missing the picture of mom actually firing the shotgun. But the article is still very cute. ....I wish the reporter hadn't felt the need to emphasize how much I suck compared to my mom, but there you are...it makes the story even better.

That was ADORABLE... and yeah, he coulda' been kinder, but maybe the reporter likes the Wii, too, and wants to highlight with excruciating clarity how good it is for Life, the Universe, and Everything!

And *go you* for being the path to a facet of your mom's 15 minutes of fame. ^___^

XD It's not the first time. Every time I move to a tiny town my parents make the news. In my tiny town in Japan they ended up in the town newsletter...had a dinner with the mayor...the police stopped us to say hello...

Ha! No, I think I'm still a city girl at heart. I have no urge to go get a dutch oven, handgun or bow. (Shotgun....maaaaaybe. But only for shooting clay pigeons)

I'll be up in Detroit next weekend, but how about the weekend of the 11th? I'm free that one and the weekend of the 18th. After that I've got to go to my cousin's wedding in St. Louis.
