Nonconformance Detective

THIS is so me at work. Well, a cross between that and this.

This week has been....grr. We had a rash of Quality Problems, that are startng to look like they're intentional. I could easily maim someone who tries to get back at someone in their department by making bad parts. The entire plant suffers for it. Now we have to sort through everything that that department makes, and wrap each box in stretch wrap to keep anyone from tampering.

And everyone freaks out when I walk out into the plant now. Lots of "Oh no!" "Not another QPR!" and people making the sign of the cross.

On the plus side, I picked up a new name...Grissom. Which is a vast improvement over 'Bad News Ann.' (But why couldn't it have been Catherine? She is smart, sexy and takes no shit from anyone. Why am I the bug guy?)

They don't scatter, actually. They collect. They march on me demanding to know what's wrong and why I'm out there. I usually have to hold up my hands like I'm surrendering.
