Common Sense mothaf*ckaa ...do you has it?

Nyrrrg! I think this company exists to drive me crazy.

We have these parts that got smashed all to hell inside the press in June, and the stamping guy didn't sort, so bad parts got to the next process. On July 12th, the Line Leader from Stamping was supposed to report on what happened and how it got fixed. On July 12th it happened again, so the Line Leader took pictures to explain the problem. Well, the next process just found parts from the 12th. Meaning that the press stopped...the line leader took the time to take pictures of the problem....and then DIDN'T THROW OUT THE BAD PARTS.

*HUGS* Sorry you've got some job related stress. On the bright side however, isn't one man's incompetance, another man's job security?

*HUGS*

It's less work stress as rage at being thwarted. How am I going to take over the world if minions are all this incompetent. Life really IS like a disney movie.

Oh my. You may be witnessing evolution at work, there.

That's the single best anti-evolution argument I've ever heard. XD Of course, you couldn't really call the alternative 'intelligent' design.

Also, Friday I issued a quality problem report to a different department. They had two weeks to find out why we didn't have the right label on a big tote of parts. Now keep in mind that that Line Leader has been trained on Root Cause Investigation Methodology. His reply, which he returned within the hour was, "It was an honest mistake."

Ha. I was thinking evolution in terms of those with no common sense getting weeded out. If they can't figure out to remove the faulty bits, they probably couldn't figure out it's a bad idea to put their hand in a toaster, or something.

The phrase "honest mistake" has always seemed fishy to me. As opposed to a dishonest one? If it's dishonest, then it's intentional, and it isn't a mistake. Gah.

They're not weeded out, though. Those are the Line Leaders. The people nominally in charge.

Most of the Line Leaders are firm believers in 'dishonest mistakes,' based on their reports. It's always 'the operator didn't do ___, even though I told them to.' 'someone must have done it on purpose to sabotage me.' or 'you people are always playing mind games.' (Still trying to ravel out who 'you people' refers to.)

I'm so glad I have the paper yo-yo for beatings. I'd go nuts without it.

Hee. Paper yo-yo...of DEATH.
