ZOMG!

Thank you everyone for the birthday wishes. It is good to have so many awesome friends.

So, my dad gave me the best birthday present ever, in a totally backhanded hilarious sort of way. I went back to Detroit to visit my parents and have yellow cake with chocolate frosting (which is the best cake/icing combo ever) and generally hang out. My actual presents were nice enough, lots of crafting papers and rubber stamps. And then we went to our favorite Japanese restaurant. Whenever we go there the conversation inevtiably drifts to the time my parents came out and visited me in Japan and what a great trip that was. The conversation then drifted to trips we'd like to take someday.

Me: I'd love to go to London and visit flidgetjerome.
Mom: I'm sure you'll go someday.
Me: :P Not anytime soon the way things are going.
Dad: I could send you there for free.
Me: What?
Dad: I've got 300,000 frequent flier miles. Let's book a flight when we get home.
Me: O_O !

So sometime soon, probably late May, I'm going to go to London! I am so giddy it is not to be believed.
