Oh Corvallis! Are you planning to be there the entire time you're here? It's not a bad town, per se, but it's basically a small college town. ^^ It's also a fair drive from downtown Portland.

Weather.com shows Portland warming up on the 24th so you might be in luck. I hope so because Portland basically shuts down when there's snow - we don't get it often so we don't have the equipment to deal with it and people don't really know how to drive in it well.
