One of the Cool Kids

I work in the deep backwaters of Ohio. And I am surrounded daily by very nice rednecks. But no matter how nice they are, I'm still not interested in hunting, fishing, or NASCAR. I'm just not.

Luckily for me I've been adopted by the young hot-shot engineers who would rather commute an hour and a half to work than live near our job. And sometimes we go out to lunch. And they have gotten me to break down and join Facebook.

Bah, I'm not sure how much geek cred gets you for 'Cool.'

(Not that the engineers are really 'cool.' I mean, hello? engineers? Also, they think they are so very ghetto, so very 'whassup, man? Yo, dawg.' along with the glasses and high pitch giggling. It doesn't quite work.)
