Totally Forgot
OMG, totally forgot to tell you all about the fabulously weird dream I had last night. Whenever I have a dream featuring work in any which way it always seems to be about 10 times as bizzare.
So, for some reason I had to be in a production of 'As You Like It' which is one of Shakespeare's plays that I haven't actually gotten around to reading yet. And I was playing Touchstone, the fool. I knew there was absolutely no way that I was going to remember all of my lines, this was a given in my dream. But I was doing my best to get ready. (I remember something about a red costume?)
This was all going on at work. And the door to the press room actually opened up into a staircase, and a second floor that doesn't exist in real life. The second floor was like a high school auditorium with huge stage and everything. I was more nervous becasue I knew I wasn't going to do very well, but I thought that with the help of other actors and a prompter that I might be fantastically bad, but I might be able to muddle through somehow or other.
But then once I was in my costume, I realized that there were no other actors. It was just me. No prompters, no other actors or even scenery, and I couldn't take my copy of the play on stage. It was absolutely terrifying.
And then I woke up because my feet were hot. This is what I get for watching the KareKano bit where Yukino's going to be in a play, and reading a lot of Shakespeare biographies in a row.
